Even if Outkast thinks they smell like po-ooo-oo
Like most of us, I usually chat my way home from class with a cell phone attached to my head. Today, however, I forgot my cell at home and was able to actually smell the roses on East University on my walk back from class. Except there were no flowers and what was there smelled disgusting! I passed by lawns decorated by last night’s red cups and empty cases of natty light before I turned the corner onto Greenwood and almost tripped over a burned trash can with it’s contents spilled into the street.

It's a college town, what did you expect to see on your walk back from class...the Garden of Eden? It's not that bad anyway, your discription is a total exageration.
